| About Cres |
| According to its surface area, Cres is the biggest and after Hvar, the longest Croatian island. It is situated in the North Adriatic, mainly in the Kvarner Bay which it closes with its northern part. The island can be reached by ferry-boats that circulate Brestova – Porozina and Valbiska – Merag lines as well as by ship or fast catamaran from Rijeka and Lošinj. The islands of Cres and Lošinj were once connected by a narrow portage which was later dug into a channel and so a moveable bridge at Osor connects them today. | Marina Cres |
The island’s biggest tourist centre is the town of Cres, with its numerous apartments and private rooms, campsites and hotels. The large ACI marina is situated in the southern part of the city port, in a well protected inlet. It is open throughout the year and has 450 moorings and 120 berths on land.
